Dancap Productions Inc. introduces two new stars
of the stage to play Tam in MISS SAIGON

Dancap Productions Inc. is pleased to announce the casting of two young local performers to play Tam, the young son of Kim. Miss Saigon is about a Vietnamese bar girl who falls in love with an American GI in MISS SAIGON, the award-winning blockbuster musical coming to Toronto’s Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, July 9 – August 1, 2010.

Tickets prices start at $28 and can be purchased by calling 416.644.3665 or online at www.DancapTickets.com

Allesandra Crisante-Crespo and Chloe Stanford, both age 6, will feature prominently in the inaugural presentation of Dancap’s Summer Broadway Series, starring alongside two stars of the original 1993 Toronto production, Ma-Anne Dionisio (Kim) and Dora-Award winner Kevin Gray (The Engineer). No stranger to the story line or the stage, last year Allesandra Crisante-Crespo appeared opposite Soprano Ai-Lan Zhu in Opera Hamilton’s production of Pucinni’s Madama Butterlfy.  A piano student at the Royal Conservatory and a dance student at the Randolph Academy, Chloe Stanford appeared as a zombie in the Toronto Thrill the World Michael Jackson Tribute. Both girls will alternate in performing the role.

Set in 1975 during the final days of the Vietnam war, MISS SAIGON is an epic love story between an American GI and a Vietnamese bar girl. Finding love in the unlikely environment of the Engineer’s nightclub, the young soldier and girl vow to be together forever. Separated during the fall of Saigon, Kim holds onto the dream Chris will one day return for her and their son, Tam. Years later, when Kim learns Chris is searching for her – but accompanied by his American wife – all her hopes to be reunited with him disappear.

Kim is desperate for her son to have a future with his father in America, and she will make the ultimate sacrifice to achieve her dream.
