The video for “Helium Hearts,” the new single from multi-platinum songwriter Jason Reeves, premiered on AOL Music Wednesday, September 1st.
The single was released to all digital retailers on August 17th and will impact radio on September 20th. The track, which is currently streaming on Reeves’ MySpace page. Helium Hearts is the first single from Reeves’ long-awaited new album, The Lovesick — due for release this winter on Warner Bros. Records. Produced by Adam Smith, The Lovesick features songwriting collaborations with WBR’s Senior Vice President of A&R and American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi, who signed Reeves to the label, as well as Reeves’ frequent collaborator, singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat. Reeves co-wrote 10 tracks on Caillat’s platinum debut Coco, including the smash hit singles “Bubbly” and “Realize,” as well as 10 tracks on the deluxe edition of her album Breakthrough which included current hit single “I Never Told You.”
Reeves is a three-time ASCAP Pop Award winner. His other collaborations include Lenka’s “The Show,” which went to No. 1 in multiple territories around the world and tied with the classic “Stand By Me” for the most-synched song of last year for SonyATV.
