CANADIAN RAPPER DY STILL MISSING!

26 year-old CP Records recording artist, Forrest Schab, commonly known by his artist name DY has been reported missing by his family. Forrest was last seen in late August in Toronto after shooting the music video for his second single “That’s My Spot” ft. D. Woods. He had planned to go on a 2 week retreat in Mexico and informed friends and family that he would not be receiving any calls or messages in that time period. The Schab family became concerned when they did not hear from Forrest after those 2 weeks and continuously tried contacting him everyday.  “We knew Forrest was not going to be available for 2 weeks, and we didn’t know if he was coming home or staying down there. We didn’t want to draw unnecessary attention that may embarrass him”, comments Jessica Schab, “We just kept thinking give it one more day and we’ll hear from him.  We never expected that he was missing.” After still not hearing from Forrest for a few weeks, the Schab family reported Forrest missing to the Toronto Police Service. For the consideration of Forrest’s music career the family did not make his missing person’s case public. “We thought Forrest might turn up any day and didn’t want to negatively affect his career while he was gone” says Jessica Schab. The public knowledge of Forrest’s disappearance was brought to light when fans & friends began to inquire about his whereabouts on twitter.

At the Schab Family’s request CP Records will resume the release of DY’s second single “That’s My Spot” ft. D Woods formerly of Danity Kane.

Tony Sal, CEO of CP Records comments “We have spoken with the Schab family and sympathize greatly with them.  At their request, we will continue with the release of DY’s single ‘That’s My Spot’ immediately as his family believes there is nothing more important to DY than to have his music heard.”

“Forrest has always wanted to inspire others in challenging circumstances to make it and he would want to continue to inspire people and get his music out to the world” states Jessica Schab.

The release of “That’s My Spot” ft. D. Woods was originally planned for earlier this year as the follow-up to his debut single and video “Passenger” ft. Danny Fernandes, but was put on hold by the label for DY’s return. My thoughts and prayers are with DY’s family and friends, let’s hope he is found safe and sound.

Persons with information can contact the Toronto Police Service at 416-808-2222.
